ICPPP22 Training School: a hands-on experience

Coimbra (Portugal) 4-5 July 2024

As in former International Conferences on Photothermal and Photoacoustic Phenomena, an international Training School will be held prior to the conference, on July 4^th and 5^th, 2024 at the University of Coimbra laboratories. For registered participants in the ICPPP22, no additional fees will be collected for enrolling the ICPPP22 Training School.

The Training School starts with a series of lectures and case-study presentations and is focused on the hands-on use of instrumentation for experimentation on imaging, calorimetric and spectroscopic applications.

The international Training School is intended for a limited number of students at graduate or post-graduate level, who have research and future professional interests in photonics, photothermal and photoacoustic techniques and related issues, and their fundamental, biomedical, and technological applications.

School participants will have the opportunity to intensively interact with a team of experts in the main themes of the ICPPP and to discuss their studies and research interests.

Candidates should send the Training School application to icppp22@uc.pt by 07-May-2024.

The selection of the candidates will be done based not only on past academic achievements (grade transcripts, scientific publications) but mainly on prospective potential. National quotas may be applied. The application must include:

• 1. CV;

• 2. Motivation letter specifically mentioning the research interests;

• 3. Letter of recommendation from supervisor.
